Early Border Regt OSD Cap Badge

A rare, small pattern, officer's service dress bronzed cap badge for The Border Regiment with two blade fastenings (east and west). Churchill 951.

Note: This badge, without the Relief of Ladysmith honour, dates to circa 1902-05. Churchill says this pattern was worn on both the cap and collar, although the blades indicate this example is a cap badge.
