Early Border Regt Collar Badges

A scarce pair of brass collar badges for The Border Regiment, each with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill 938/939.

Colin Churchill, in his book on the History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge, suggests these collars were worn only briefly, circa 1881-85.
