2nd Royal Surrey Militia HP

A scarce, white metal, helmet plate for The 2nd Royal Surrey Militia with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). KK1170.

Note: This pattern of plate may have also been worn as a generic plate by other militia/Rifle Volunteer units.

This plate was very dirty and I soaked it in vinegar, which is why the lugs have a very new coppery look to them. Some of the tips of the star have been bent over.
