24/Mx VRC Shoulder Title

A scarce, blackened brass, shoulder title for The 24th Middlesex Volunteer Rifle Corps with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). Westlake 1502.

Note: The 49th Middlesex was renumbered as the 24th in 1880, then became a volunteer battalion of The Rifle Brigade in 1881, and the 8th battalion of The London Regiment (Post Office Rifles) in 1908.
