A rare and attractive, silver and gilt, shoulder-belt plate for an officer of The 9th Foot (later 1st battalion of The Norfolk Regiment) with the usual two hook and two stud fastenings. Parkyn 124.

Major Parkyn, in his book on (Military) Shoulder-Belt Plates and Buttons, dates this plate to circa 1830-55.  read more
